Our Maine Coon Cattery was founded after more than 10 years of showing Household Pets as well as Somalis, Birmans, Abyssinians and Maine Coons in Premiership. With this range of experience, I knew that my love and passion would be on the beautiful Maine Coon, known as the gentle Giants of the purebred cat world. So in 1995, I put the elegance in Ele'cats and registered my Maine Coon cattery with The Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA).

Ele'Cats Maine Coons are bred to the CFA Standard. Ele'Cats foundation stock was Solkatz, Carlacats and Kankoonkats. Over the years my line was strengthened with outcrosses to Thunderpoz, Chattacoons, and Sunnywood. I specialize in brown, red, and silver tabbies, but have other colors and solids occasionally.

While I'm not what is called a "show campaigner", I enjoy successfully competing against CFA's top cats. To date, distinctions include a CFA Regional Win, Regional Color Wins, and numerous Grand Champions and Grand Premiers. I have been a member of the CFA Maine Coon Breed Council since 1996 and I am a CFA Approved Mentor.

My breeding priorities are (1) health, (2) disposition, and (3) type. Ele'Cats breeding stock is tested for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) MyBPC mutation and hip dysplasia. Vaccines are kept current on all cats and kittens. All Maine Coons in my home are negative for the MyBPC mutation and Felv-FIV. This is a ringworm free cattery.

My philosophy is that proper nutrition is the foundation for optimal health. I believe most problems in cats can be solved with nutritional intervention. In addition to formal training at the Cornell University Feline Nutrition Seminar, I constantly research and study the latest developments in feline nutrition and wellness. I am passionate about new developments pertaining to the relationship of feline nutrition and proper supplementation on health, disposition, fertility, etc. and I follow the output of the Winn Feline Foundation, which is dedicated to the wellness of cats. I employ the immunization protocols recommended by the the Colorado State University-Veterinarian Teaching Hospital (CSU-VTH).
Kittens are raised underfoot, playing with our dog and grandchildren. They are vet-checked and FIV and FeLV tested. All pet kittens are spayed/neutered and vaccinated prior to placement.
My home is filled with active, healthy kittens and adult Maine Coons.
